BI connectors for on premise applications

When will it be possible to connect on premise Looker applications to things like:

  • Google Sheets
  • Looker Studio

Hey friend @Preston_Dev!

This is on our dev radar and the team is working on a native integration, but there is no set date for when it will be possible to connect on premise Looker applications to things like Google Sheets and Looker Data Studio just yet... However, there are a few ways to do this now:

One way is to use a third-party data connector, such as Skyvia which offers a data connector that can be used to connect Looker to Google Sheets and Looker Data Studio and other modeling tools.

Another options is to use the Looker API. The Looker API can be used to programmatically access Looker data. This may take a bit of backend ninja work, but the API can be used to create custom integrations between Looker and Google Sheets and Looker Data Studio.
