Exploring & curating data
Dashboards, Looks, Visualizations— it all happens here
Hello,I am looking for a way to Text Join with conditions in Looker. In excel, I used to do a simple formula like shown in the snapshot below. In detail, I have to join a set of names in (let’s say) column C if they have in common values in column B. Is it possible to solve this puzzle via a Table Calculation? Thank you beforehand for the prompt reply!Chiara
I synchronized a ScreamingFrog file with looker studio. On the response code page, on a specific table, I want to see the names of the elements/pages that are indicated as 3xx, 2xx... Like a list of some sort. How do I achieve to add that to my table ? I tried everything and I can't figure it out.Maybe someone knows a code I have to add to my table to get the name of all the pages that have errors 3xx, 2xx, 4xx.Thanks a lot.
I’m building a custom vis table but it has the same feature as a normal looker table where the cell has a link to another looker table. When I click this cell it will open in a new browser tab.How can I target it to open inline? Is it possible to create a new table underneath the existing one after clicking the link? Or can it replace the current table?
Hey all, Looking through the community, there is a lot to learn about Looker studio. I was hoping I could pick somebodies brains. I’m trying to filter a line chart to only display the last completed week. Currently, it shows the previous week, but also shows data for this week which is useless as it’s incomplete and just adds confusion to the chart (I’ll attach a picture). We’re currently in week 4, hence there isn’t complete data – I only need to review data from week 3 backwards. I’ve looked through the community, but can’t find an answer. It may be obvious through the interface, but I’ve had a look and can’t see it, it’s driving me bonkers! Thanks for your time. All the best, James
So I am trying to understand how to set up what I have below as a Look within Looker. I want to eventually have a Dashboard with a few of these. I am just not sure within the Explore feature how to set something like this up. How would I look this up within help? Would this be considered a Spreadsheet feature within Looker?
Hi all When I want to show the age bracket in the dimension, it returns with a zero to slash for each age group. However, when I tried to set it as filter, it seems that the value can be read in this case. Does anyone knows what happen here? Thanks for the help in advance.
We have several websites (same website but different topleveldomains) and store the GA360 data in BigQuery. The GA360 data for each website is stored in the same BigQuery project but in a different dataset (date partitioned).Example:GA360 GBQ ProjectWebsite 1 Website 2 Website 3We are now starting to use Looker and I want to be able to analyze the data. My goal is to be able to create dashboards containing the GA360 data for each individual website but also be able to create dashboards containing he data for all websites combined. As far as my knowledge goes for both Looker and GBQ the joining can be done in both Looker and GBQ. Since both GBQ and Looker are quite new to me I am wondering how and where these datasets should be combined in the most (cost)effective way.So my question is: What is the best way to combine multiple websites' datasets stored in GBQ to be able analyzed in Looker? Thanks!
Hi Guys,I’m trying to create a stacked bar chart that is monthly aggregated.I have the following colums : startdate, enddate, count(client), count(x-client)A client is someone that his enddate hasn’t arrived yet and of course an x-client is not with us anymore (enddate passed).I’d like to check our history for each month how many clients we had and how many left. How would you go about doing this? Thanks in advance
Currently when you have a filter with selected values which listens to another filter,if the filter that is being listened to changes:- The listening filter suggestions update as expectedBut the selected values do not clear allowing the user to make an invalid selection.
Hiya, I seem to be having a problem that I can’t quite replicate. In a specific community Looker dashboard (https://datastudio.google.com/s/ufDnpYUF9i8), I can’t pull in any data from a specific data source. The report works fine with the default data but I can’t replicate results when I use my own data source. In another community dashboard (https://datastudio.google.com/s/nhB0fkJTw-s), that problem doesn’t exist and I can pull in data from the EXACT same data source. I don’t get any errors while loading the first report but---how do I check this?
I am unable to access the data of more than two columns on a scatterplot in order to use the third as a label. When I toggle ‘Value Labels’ on, it automatically labels with the y-axis value. I want to use the third column as an identifier so it doesn’t make sense to pivot it (and errors due to ‘ Not Enough Fields‘ anyway). The third column data also does not appear when you hover over the data point. I assume this is working as designed but let me know if you know of a way to accomplish it!
I’m building a time series visualization, and I’ve noticed that I can format the axis labels exactly as I like them, but that this formatting isn’t respected in the tool tip. For example, I’ve formatted my (monthly) data to “%b %Y” which is like “Dec 2016”. The tool tip does not respect this formatting. Is there an easy way to ensure these two always align, other than by enforcing this in the view definition?
I have a list of products and a count of people who purchased each product.
