How to get custom number of rows in a column which is filtered by another column

Hi,I have the data in the following format.I need it sorted into this format. The format is topic should be sorted with the highest values.Once a topic comes in a row all the sub-topic should appear subsequently.I want to limit the sub-topic to 3 or 5 of highest values. Add domain name in alerts

I am trying to setup a alert for a list of domains when there is a change in usage by 30% or more. The alerts I have setup now only mentions that there is a change by {40%} or some amount but doesn’t mention which domain had that change. Is there a way to include the domain name in alerts. I have setup the alerts to come through emails.

Why does visualization open/load first when viewing a look?

Hi, I’ve noticed that when I open a saved look or dashboard, the visualization is the first thing to load/open as a dropdown? Why isn’t the ‘data’ tab the first one to populate? Is it because I saved the ‘look’ or ‘tile’ with the visualization bar open?

Filters Not Populating Suggestions in Dashboard (BigQuery based data)

I am new to Looker.I have a partitioned BigQuery connection to Looker.Due to this there is a required date filter on any query demanded, which prevents the source query for suggestions from functioning.At first I found a work around by using a ‘sql_always_where’ in the explore, but then realized this was generating queries over all the data (which is big) to get suggestions.I recently developed a dashboard from a derived query. At first I hard coded a where condition for the date field limiting it to the past few days, however, the final data would need to be at any time period in history. When I adjusted this date to the data start I realized it was very expensive to run. It needs to be run with different filters by different people so caching/persisting isn’t really an option.To prevent the derived table query from querying over all the data, I followed the ‘Creating dynamic SQL derived tables with LookML and Liquid’ Lab to inject the dates into the derived query. Access and filter a dashboard using a button in an external software as hubspot.

I need your help to know if it is possible to access and filter a dashboard using a button in an external software as hubspot.The usecase is to let the client solution team to access a dashboard which contains infomation from external sources (information not available in the hubspot database) and with the same button the idea is to filter the data by an identification that they would send through the button.Can you please advice me on how is the best way to approach this use case? have you had any usecase like this in the past?

Can values with Magnitude be formatted to show more digits in Explore?

I’m trying to find a way to turn values that are displayed with Magnitudes (K, M, B etc) into regular values with all digits (ie: measures that show as “$123 K” turn into “$123,456” Is there any way to do this in Looker’s Explore view? I’ve tried using a table visualization and custom-formatting the series with a format of “0” and that didn’t work. Anything else that could work?

How to use parameters values to two different Looks

Hi All, Is it possible to toggle two different Looks on a Looker Dashboard. Scenario - I have two parameters called Closed and Resolved as a dropdownWhen i Select Closed value - corresponding Visual with Closed should come and in the same way with Resolved data visual should come on same place on the dashboard.

Spreadsheet-style format code to show both numbers in Millions and Percentages

In the chart above, I am trying to visualise absolute numbers in Millions and MoM% change in percentages. In the data table there are negative MoM changes, which however are not shown with a negative sign in the visualisation. The spreadsheet style formatting code I am using is the following:[<100]0%;[<999950]0,"K";[<999950000]0.0,,"M";0.0,,,"B"I can’t get past this last little issue with negative percentages. Would be glad to anyone who could step in and help out!

Unable to Download results

Hi,I’m trying to download results from a dashboard that has less than 100 rows. The results from row# 15 are greyed out and unable to download the complete results. Can someone please help me with the possible reason and workarounds to this issue?Thanks,Anvesh

Search Bar Showing Archived Dashboards

Hi all, We have currently made a pretty significant update to our underlying data structure that meant a number of dashboards were replaced with newer versions. As a result, a lot of dashboards were archived and new dashboards with the same name were created. However, the archived versions are still showing in the search bar dropdown, and this is causing confusion as when a user clicks to access the dashboard they are unable to see the dashboard (which is expected behaviour). Is there a way to stop archived dashboards from appearing in the search bar if this is not simply a bug? Thanks, Adam

How to dynamically change the unit of time in the look, based on the time filter selected by the user?

Hi,Let’s assume a very simple case- one date filter on the dashboard and one look with “Order Month” on its x -axis. Now, lets say a user sets the filter to “in last 6 weeks”. Is it possible to change the x-axis on the look to weeks dynamically? I want the time unit (week,/month/ year/quarter etc.) selected by the user in the date filter to reflect in the look.

Reference Dashboard Filter in Custom Measure Custom Filter

I have a dashboard that filters all clients that were enrolled in a program through a certain date range, and then a custom measure that should count the number of unique clients with a move-in date in that reporting period. The calc looks like this:The issue is that the dashboard filter looks at all clients with an enrollment during the period, meaning that if someone was enrolled and had a move-in date 1 year ago and is still active, they are counted by this calculation. What I really need is for ${entry_screen.move_in_date} to be between the reporting period start and end date. Is is possible to reference those dashboard filter values in a custom measure’s custom filter? My account does not have access to LookML

Table value Calculation by filtered dates

Hello, I am a bit stuck as I want to make a little table calculation taking into consideration the date I have filtered it by, but don’t know how. So this is what I would like to make: I filter my query by date (is in the past 1 complete month) and some other filters.And the values I get back are per weekday and hour, so, for example, i have 20 trips in the last complete month on Mondays at 1 o’clock. But I would like the value to show the average from these 20 trips, meaning that if there were 4 Mondays in the last complete month it would divide by 4 if 5 Mondays then divide by 5. So then if I later add this to a dashboard that is filtered by date, then this query would change depending on the dashboard filter. Please let me know if you would need more information.

Can you fix the area of the squares in Automagic heatmap

Hi,I hav recently discovered Lookers Automagic heatmaps visualization. I can see that the squares change in size as you zoom in or out of the map. Do stop it from doing so I turned off the zoom option, but now the issue is that I want the area of the squares to be a fixed area of 5km^2. Is there a way to do this in Looker.Thanks.
