We’re now using Looker at work and I’m kinda been thrown into the project by my manager without knowing much about it (hurray for that). Wondered if somebody can help me with something that (maybe) amounts to a simple task, but I don’t know how to do it.
So let’s assume I have an SQL query used by an application that looks something like “SELECT [couple of things] FROM mytable WHERE id=#{the_id}”. The application has an UI that allows to input “the_id” and then the query is run and display the results. How can I do the same thing in Looker? Just have an SQL and somehow have the parameter appear in the looker UI?
