Unable to edit source query in a merge

I often make use of merge queries to join data sources on an ad-hoc basis, and for the most part it works very well. However, I find that sometimes I am unable to go back into certain source queries to edit them - the overlay just hangs on the loading bar. Within the same merge, I have been able to edit other sources, so it’s not a universal problem. I do not think it is a problem with too much data, as some sources with 4 rows still don’t load.

Has anyone else found this to be an issue and have you managed to find a solution? At the moment I am having to delete and recreate the source query every time which is very time consuming and it can be difficult to know exactly what fields and filters were used.
