Totals of a ‘percent_of_previous’ measure should be the % of change of the associated value column’s total (compared to from its previous total). Instead, it’s summing the %s in the column.

This appears to be a bug.

Hey Ethan - percent_of_previous and other measures like it are calculated post-query. Totals, on the other hand, are calculated in the SQL of the query. Because of this, we shouldn’t be calculating totals for measures of type percent_of_previous. If you are seeing any totals for a measure of this type, this may indeed be a bug! If so, we’d love to investigate further. We are always available via live chat or at help.looker.com.
