Many common loading messages are already possible to translate, but “Loading Data” in particular will be coming in Looker 6.12, coming at the beginning of May. We’ll continue rolling things out until the entire product is fully translated!

@izzy,

Could you please explain that how can we translate common loading messages which are currently possible in version 6.6.7 ?

It will be great if you provide any examples for the same.

This docs page should prove informative:

If you give a user a locale attribute, in addition to the strings defined in the .strings file you create, some of the product text will change too. We’re still working on rolling it all out, but most things on dashboards should be translated, the visualizations, and a few other pieces currently exist.

@izzy - As you mentioned that some of the product text will translate too, could you please provide a list of such product text that is currently getting translated through Looker localization.

I can try and find a conclusive list of everything! Right now, the 6.8 release notes:

Are the most conclusive.

Dashboards and visualizations can now be displayed in French, German, and Japanese, giving your content worldwide reach! Embedded content will pick up a user’s locale. Filters, Looker menu items, etc. will not be translated.
