Grouping values by category name without pulling in the Category

Is it possible create your own categories and set your own Sales goals w/o pulling in the type of item for each category:

1. Flip Flops, Sneakers, High heels are to be bundled as shoes without pulling in "type of shoes". Basically I want to set sales goals for each of the Categories: shoes (contains: Flip Flops, Sneakers, High heels) and dresses (midi, long, mini, summer etc)...

I know I can group using the if statement and assign a goal but It would only allow me to do so if I pull in the dimension for the categories so there would be duplicates. W/o creating separate tiles is this possible?
