Can you save Custom Fields at a User/Model level?

Right now we have multiple departments using Looker. They all have their own business needs and calculated KPIs that they want to track. Instead of adding 100’s of KPI permeations to the overall model which causes bloat, it would be great if individual users could save (and share) Calculated Fields not just to a Look, but to a model itself. That way when they went to Explore the data model again, they would have all saved Calculated Fields pre-populated.

Is something like this possible and if not, how should I request it a a Product feature?

If you need to save Custom Fields anywhere else for reusability, then you should add it to the LookML. You can then expose it differently to different people, with access grants or different view labels to split them out
