Get current month data in Looker Dashboard

I have a dashboard with data for many months but I want that when the dashboard is first opens it shows data for only the current month and later the user can navigate to any other month’s data. Is it possible to create a filter or default setting for such a situation? If not, any close alternative that results in a similar output.?
