Variables Inside Text Boxes

Hello, I’ve recently been asked to develop a dashboard and all went well until I reached a requirement about a dynamic textbox.

In a previous dashboarding tool, I was able to create text boxes that were comprised of multiple variables that I could concatenate together. In the backend, these variables would be defined based on the attributes of a site. When I opened up the text box visualization in Looker, I saw that I could enter in markdown formatted text, but it doesn’t appear to allow for variable usage.

Am I missing something or is there some sort of work around for this? I know that maybe I could do this using a table or a single object tile (?), but those don’t allow for much formatting. 

Any suggestions on what I could do here?
