Unable to start creation of Dashboard

I could make a view using sql runner but not able to add the sql view in the dashboard.

I might not understanding your question correctly but here is the documentation that describes how to create user defined dashboards in Looker. Which step is failing for you? Feel free to pop on chat if you have more questions.

Hey @madhavi-bidgely,


Once you created your view, you need to add/join this view to explore here. Then you can create visualisations that you like from this explore and add it to the dashboard using the instructions I posted above.

Hi @madhavi-bidgely,


I looks like you missing some basic understanding of core concepts. I would suggest that you take some training on the product. You can start by reading this document but in general measures are an aggregate on a dimension. So in order to make a measure you would need to perform aggregation of some sort.

You would have to add this view to explore to be able to see/query or do anything with it. Examples can be found here.

I understand that but what I am facing right now is that I have created the view and not able to see it under “Explore” and when I try to use “Explore Last Query” then I am just not able to create the view.

Apologies for my naive questions but I am new to Looker.
