Looker alert not working

I have created a simple LOOK and put it in a dashboard in my development folder and created an alert on it.  I even put my domain in the Email Whitelist.  It appears to be working according to the Alert History however I am not getting the email.  Can anyone help explain why?

This is even more confusing...after my OAuth login wore off, I received emails saying the alert failed.  So why did I get the failure notifications but not the alerts for my set conditions?
