Look vs Dashboard vs Board

When I create a Look and add it to a Board or Dashboard...if I edit the Look, should that change be reflected in the Look that is on the Board and Dashboard?

Also, when I am in the look I have the option from there to add the Look to a Dashboard. When I do this, the “On Dashboard” still says “No” after I add it to a Dashboard. Why?

Not saying this is what you have done but read carefully, I confused myself for a while around this subject, when you add the look to a db you can add it as a query tile or add the look, 2 buttons but 1 is in the other corner.
