Linked Filters and Default Values

We have a dashboard with two filters - a person filter and a category filter. Both are required to run the dashboard.

The appropriate person will be selected in the person dashboard filter on load (we will populate it via the dashboard url link).

But our users want a category to be selected/showing when the dashboard loads - BUT not all categories apply to all people, which is why we have linked the filters- - selecting person narrows the category filter list.

Is there any way to make the category filter default to one of the available categories (that are available based on the selected person)? Like, any category, I don’t care which, as long as it’s valid for the person.
