Hi there, We have around 500+ dashboards that got accumulated in all these years and most of the time users are confused if this is the right dashboard? does it have the right data? Is this dashboard is maintained? etc. How can we “Certify or Promote” the dashboards that are meaningful and are wetted and maintained by the Analytics team.Any upcoming feature on certify a dashboard? ThanksAnkit.
Hi team, Target - to make a dashboard using 2 different explores. Both the explorers have date fields to group by.(I can't join these 2 data sets in lookml as the granularity is different.)I tried the merge option and I am getting the expected result but I want to use another option (Such as if I can join them at the dashboard level) because I heard about some bugs/errors in merging, from some of my colleagues in their work. Are there any other ways to do this? Thanks!!!
Currently I have a dashboard built on a view (lets say V1). Now due to logic change I had to create another view (V2) with same structure and same attributes as V1. How do I change the source of the dashboard to point to V2 as all attributes remain same (the logic changes are done upstream in snowflake)? Also, i still need V1 to stay intact for other dashboards.
Hello,I am trying to create an alert on my tile which contain a single percentage value on the basis of two rows of data (3rd and 4th day before), which contain one table calculation of "% Change from previous value". The tile is only showing the percentage change on which I want to check if that value is >=10 then I want to create an alert But getting error "Error: Your alert could not be saved."
I have a plot with a reference line with a range, it seems that data points that fall completely under that range are no longer hoverable with the mouse. Apparently because the reference line is rendered on top of the data points. Is it possible to configure the reference line to show up on the background of the chart?
We are using Looker 22.10.32. I’m not sure of when this started, but it’s been after one of the updates a few months back. All seem to be related to PDF rendering.Column headers are getting cut off, squeezed, and generally messed up Columns themselves are getting cut off no matter how we try to format the PDF Most notably, some dashboards will show up just fine on web, but when trying to schedule or download, we get this error: query failed: Non-unique value/primary key (or sql_distinct_key), value overflow or collision when computing sumThis has been happening for a while and we have been in contact with support, but it just seems to be a black hole. Can we get some answers on why this is happening?
Is it possible to have a feature where a user can choose from a list of available dimensions to display in the Dashboard. (including choosing multiple fields)? So there are two ways to achieve this. Using an example of Profit & Loss Statement below to describe what I need. There is a Profit & Loss (P&L) dashboard. When a user opens it they see Gross Sales, Net Sales and Gross Profit. Then if they want to see more details, they can click on ‘Net Sales’ which shows the P&L including a breakdown of Net Sales components (Gross Sales Product A, Product B, Total Discounts/deductions) etc. So a set of additional rows between Gross Sales and Net Sales. Then when they click on Total Discounts/deductions, again an new set of rows are shown with its breakdown (e.g. Cash discount, Rebate etc) . This looks like Grouping function in MS Excel in practice. In this case not only new rows are added, but additional columns can be shown as well. Another option is a functionality in the da
Hi, I want to draw a graph displaying the evolution of a ratio. I manage to do what I want : However, the ratio is calculated by taking as a reference the value of the measure when rank=0 (that’s why the ratio is always 100% when rank=0) And the look is part of a dashboard. So if the user of the dashboard doesn’t select rank=0 in the filters, then the curve won’t be displayed I would like to “oblige” the user to select rank=0, but to be able to add other values of his choice (here 1 and 4) Is it possible to do so ? Or it there any other way to take rank=0 as a reference if it’s not part of the filter values ? Thank you ! Best, Flore
It’s quite possible I already mentioned this but I can’t find the thread. Look at this visualisation: There’s plenty of space for labels to show but somehow they are not. I need to make them twice as big for the engine to kindly decide to show the labels: It is very annoying as it prevents me from building dashboards with tiles that do not have to be as big as half the screen. This one is bar chart with grid 3 grids per row
Hi! We currently have a dashboard that gets notes written on most tiles each week. Each week that dashboard and all the notes are sent out to particular stakeholders so the information is saved. The problem: When comments go beyond a particular size, if the tile itself isn’t resized then those comments will be cut in the schedule. Is this a problem anyone else has had? If so, what have been your solutions? Our current method is to just resize the tiles if the comments are a bit too long, but would like to avoid any manual process here. Thanks!
I have 25 looks created from an explore. now i want to create 5 dashboards for different level of people in the organization eg for manager, sub manager etc rolessome of the looks need to show to multiple roles like some look need to show to manager and submanagers as well . I tried create 5 different folder for each dashboard .But here same look i need to duplicate to different folder in order to use the look for specific folder dashboard and in future if any change i need to do in the look I will have to do it in all the folder and i want to avoid that . So asking for different approach . Here user_attribute wont work as all looks are coming from same explore
Hi all When I want to show the age bracket in the dimension, it returns with a zero to slash for each age group. However, when I tried to set it as filter, it seems that the value can be read in this case. Does anyone knows what happen here? Thanks for the help in advance.
I am able to create a parameter to dynamically select a measure to update in a look.Is it possible to achieve a similar thing but with two different tiles in a dashboard?E.g I have tile 1, tile 2, and tile 3. I have a parameter that updates tile 3 and has two options: tile 1, tile 2. Thanks!
