Hi, After upgrating the looker from 5.4 to 6.10, facing issue with text size in scheduled reports. In looker 5.4:- And In looker 6.10 :- And even the filters which are applied to these charts are not showing in the scheduled reports now in 6.10. The issue can easily create to schedule a dashboard with “Format data as” = “Visualization” And in Advance options select “Use single column Layout”. And check the text size in the report. It was better before. Is there any way to solve this issue? Thank you.
Hi, After upgrading looker from 5.4 to 6.10 the options to “Formate data as” are less as compare to looker 5.4 for dashboards. In looker 6.10 And in looker 5.4:- Is there any way to get them back by any configuration change or any other possible way to solve it? Thank you.
I have couple of pivot columns and then a total columns ->Pivots: e.g Country A , Country B… & ->Total : All Countries ->each has couple of measures. I have applied conditional formatting on one measure ‘P’ #1 Issue: In the visualization edit-> series-> formatting rules, I need to select “include totals” only then the conditional formatting applies on that measure ‘P’ in total columns( All countries) #2 Issue: But it is also getting applied on the ALL column’s( including pivot columns) grand totals too… Why? Any solution? Thanks -SS
I’ve made a couple of reports in Looker where I’ve filtered out “Null” values. For instance, if I want to show the top 10 customers, I’ve got a large amount of data that’s for “Null” customers. Since this is not useful for me, I’ve added a filter saying “Account name is not null” in the report. Everything looks good, so I add it to my dashboard. Normally this has never been an issue for me before, but now, in the dashboard, it is still showing the null value even though I’ve filtered it out. I suspect this has to do with the fact that I’ve added dashboard-level filters that default to “Account name is any value” unless a user actually puts in a specific value (upon which all reports in the dashboard will change accordingly). Not only is this issue happening for Account Name, it’s happening for other fields where I’ve filtered out Null while creating the report, but have a dashboard-level filter for that field. Basically, I need help removing these null values from my dashboard! Thank y
We have an issue with the UI for Looks where the Filter Section doesn’t show a scroll bar and instead overlaps into the visualization and cuts off some filters. One then has to then collapse the visualization panel to see all filters, apply the filters, then re-expand the Visualization panel. I don’t remember this being an issue previously, at least on Chrome, but it seems to be now. Anyone else experience this or have any info? Image attached to illustrate.
Hi I upgraded looker from 5.4 to 6.10 and after upgrading, I am facing the issue with bar chart total value auto adjustment. In looker 5.4 the values adjust automatically. In looker 6.10 Auto rotation of values is not working in 6.10 and if I set total rotate to -90 then it’s overlapping the bar. Please help me to fix this issue. Thank you
I have a column with different currencies, and another column where I want to consolidate these currencies into one (say, USD?). The exchange rates change daily, and the primary consumer of a dashboard I built requested having a box where they could input the exchange rates, which would consolidate the values into new column automatically. Presently, I “hard coded” these exchange rates, and I update them periodically (once a week for the time being) so it reflects current exchange rates. The box idea sounds useful, and even though I have no other examples at hand where this could help, I believe it could be useful in more circumstances.
I need to display a percent on my dashboard. This percent should be calculated by dividing one count measure (derived from certain filters applied) over another count measure (which does not have those same filters). For example, I select “count” and it gives me 40 when I apply the “in the month February” filter. Without this filter, the count would be 100. I need to display 40/100 = 40% on my final dashboard. I tried using table calculations, but since both the column names are the same, I can’t divide them with each other. Any other way to do this?
Hi Everyone, I am facing a weired concern, i have using a looker report and the report showing me a correct expected results in Edit mode as i have in my table but when came back in visualization then filtering out records which should not be happen when u didn’t use any filter to filter out any thing… Please help me out to rectify the issues . Regards Harsh
I want X axis to be same like Y axis from 0% to 100%. I know as my X axis is a dimension it will show me the same fields in visualization. Dimension Org Percent showing 25% 5 times due to another dimension Alert Created Date. so if I try to remove that date dimension, it throws an error saying “column should be in group by clause or an aggregate function should be used”. How can I achieve only single count of 25% and 75% on X axis.
Hi All, I would like to have it so that I am able to change the colour of the middle option (Group Y) to another color, but as it is now it is in one dimension and one measure. I do not have access to lookml and I think there is a hack / work around with formulas… I’m just not sure how to do it! Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers, Janet
Hello, We recently moved to looker 6.6 from looker 5.14. But after that getting issue with the bar chart, Bars seem to be overlapped but in looker 5.14 we never face this issue. Please see the below image with looker 5.14. And image from looker 6.6. We are looking for a solution to this issue. Maybe we missed something. Any idea to fix this problem? Thank you.
Hi We are facing an issue in reference line label position after updating looker 5.14 to 6.6. The label is showing in the bottom, not in the top. In Looker 5.14 it was like this:- And in Looker 6.6 it is like this:- Is there any way to fix this issue? Thank you.
I created a look % of Alert Created by % of Org and wanted to hide the records with 0% from visualization. There are various Date Measures used in visualization, which when toggle shows the another date wise % of Alert. I don’t want to see 0% in my visualization and I want to have X axis format from 0% to 100%. For Eg:- In given Screenshot, for the highighted date I want to see just 75% org showing 44% of alert. Same with other Date when toggled.
I’d like to use the Timeline visualization to show how many purchases are made by hour of day per day of week. Was trying to pivot the Day of Week, but apparently you can only have 5 columns in a Timeline visualization. What is the rationale for that? Is there a work around? Perhaps a better way to visualize what the data?
I produced a look that has probably about 2500 data points on a time series. I removed the 500 row limit and when I run the look everything is shown correctly. Then I save it and go to my dashboard and for some reason I can only see 500 data points. Anything I should change to get all the data?
Hi All, I am having issue plotting line chart with the x axis and y axis from the columns I want. I am having a explore with two table (A and B) left joint together based on ‘as-of-date’ and ‘CBSA’ columns. I created a few derived columns with the following steps: ‘Median Value’ created based on median of a column in table A group by ‘as-of-date’ ‘Index A’ is created as a table calculation column based on top of ‘Median Value’ ‘Index B’ is created from a table calculation column based on a column ‘Hpi’ from table B the visualization table looks like: Now I want to plot line graph with ‘as-of-date’ as x-axis and compare two lines: Index A vs. Index B. however the line chart looks like this now: I am thinking what should I do to achieve something like: Could you please help me with it? Thank you!
I have a dashboard that I need to edit. I click pencil icon on a look and make some changes. Then I go to a certain table calculation and the popup opens but I decide to not proceed. I press ESC and instead of the table calculation popup, the whole look is closed, losing all my previous changes
