filtered not

I’m trying to make work this kind of condition :NOT({% condition has_not_property %} property {% endcondition %})has_not_property is a check list allowing an array of values to be selected (property is an ARRAY<STRING>). The issue is that when I have a default value on my filter (no value selected), NOT({% condition has_not_property %} property {% endcondition %}) becomes NOT(1=1) <=> false, so… no values end up being selected : users would not understand.The issue is that templated filters (https://cloud.google.com/looker/docs/templated-filters) behave as a black box which is hard to interact with. I cannot write “if not values are selected then <true> else <apply_the_filter_logical_expression>”.I found the post below, which seems to be a solution. It’s actually not, since it doesn’t work : CAST({% condition filter_name %} sql_or_lookml_reference {% endcondition %} AS STRING) becomes CAST(1=1 AS STRING), which becomes “true” (the logical expression 1=1 is execu

Calculated Field: does date fall within start/exit date?

I am trying to create a calculated field that will flag if a service date falls outside the enrollment range (start date and exit date) of a client. If an exit date is null, the date used should be “today”. I am NOT a developer so your patience and assistance will be greatly appreciated.I tried using my Excel skills to see if they would translate but did not work:=IF(AND(${services.start_date_date}=>${enrollments.start_date},${services.start_date_date}<=${enrollments.end_date}),"VALID","INVALID")

To hide default "Show All" option while drill down to measures using drill_fields and Link parameter

Hi Team,When drill-down is enabled through drill_field and Link parameter option, Looker show 2 different option to drill-down for the users. How to hide default “Show All” option and only keep Link related option for the users to drill-down into given measure? Should table-next visualisation have HTML fields? I realised my <a>s work fine in the usual table vis but not the next-gen. Is this expected behaviour, a bug, or will that feature be copied over at a later stage?

How to make a date ranger filter in dashboard only affect the numerator of a measure used in its own tile that divides two other measures?

As of now the filter affects both the numerator and denominator when I apply the filter to the tile that has the conversion rate (trials / visitors) measure. But, I would like the date range filter to only affect the numerator of the conversion rate measure i.e. only affects the trials measure.I tried setting up a filter in the view the dashboard is using i.e.filter: in the view (programmatically)and I tried using this filter within the sql of a new hidden measure for the numerator (trials) of the conversion rate measure (trials / visitors), but I didn’t know how to get this new filter to appear in the dashboard filter section / how to retrieve the date range from the filter dynamically when the user updates the date range filter. Any help on how to achieve this functionality would be greatly appreciated!

Continuing Table rows with break in Looker

Hello! I am trying to create a dashboard where I draw data from google sheets into Looker studio to show a monthly report on review scores. However, there are too many rows to fit into one table one a page, which means that users have to scroll through to see all of them. Is there a way to break up the table rows into two different tables while keeping the sorting for the tables? If I use the pagination settings, it would be annoying to require the user to flip the table page whenever they want to see the full table.It would look something like this…

Truncated row totals?

Whenever I create a table with totals on the rows, if the number is over 999 it truncates and I can only see two digits. I’ve tried resizing, setting the column widths and nothing changes this. Any suggestions?

Hi All,Would like to understand if there is a real ROI in moving to LOOKML Dashboards in the long term.What are the big selling points?I understand we can have advantages that come from Source control, Versioning and backups but is that strong enough motivation to make the switch to LookML dashboards? Jira dashboard organization

I am doing automation on over ten products. In jira I am using Kanban style workflow where there is no sprint and work sits in a Kanban board. I want to make Jira dashboards for the different projects. The first problem I am running into is that I have lots of different breakdowns I would like to look at and I am running out of room on my dashboard. It says I can't use any more gadgets on my dashboard. I would like to make several different dashboards for a project for different categories and I would like to group them together. Then I want to do this across over ten projects.

Saved report filtering out records

Hi Everyone, I am facing a weired concern, i have using a looker report and the report showing me a correct expected results in Edit mode as i have in my table but when came back in visualization then filtering out records which should not be happen when u didn’t use any filter to filter out any thing… Please help me out to rectify the issues . Any record of "row limit reached" messages when queries run?

I want to create a query that tracks when my management gets errors running dashboards. I see that errors connecting to database can be seen in history.message and SQL errors can be seen in history.status. But I don’t see any way to see when queries got the error “row limit reached” - this is not seen when dashboards are run by users - is it stored anywhere? This is often (although not always) a sign of a problem in the query that I’d like to address before problems are seen by business users.Thanks!--Bruce

Editing More Inconvenient with Dashboards Next

Hi all, Loving many of the new features available with dashboards-next, but my biggest complaint is the difference in editing/saving. With old dashboards, if I navigate away from the dashboard page while still editing (accidentally or not), all my edits will automatically be saved+applied. Not so with dashboards-next, which has caused me on a few occasions to lose decent chunks of work. I would gladly adopt a “save as you go” approach if hitting the save button didn’t also exit me from edit mode every time. Anyone else found this change to be inconvenient compared to the original dashboard editing mode?

Sechduling Dashboard options for "Format data as" is less in looker 6.10 as compare to looker 5.4

Hi, After upgrading looker from 5.4 to 6.10 the options to “Formate data as” are less as compare to looker 5.4 for dashboards. In looker 6.10 And in looker 5.4:- Is there any way to get them back by any configuration change or any other possible way to solve it? Thank you.
