Hello Folks, I have the following requirement. I have a query result that is in this format: Month Number Landing Page URL Transactions Page Type Revenue Conversion Rate 1 / 100 ? $200 5.4% 1 /cart 500 ? $1000 11.5% 1 /blog/how-to-jump 4 ? $50 0.3% 1 /blog/how-to-fly 15 ? $60 0.45% I want another column / field in there that assigned a certain Page Type based on the Landing Page URL. For example, if the Landing Page URL is / then the Page Type should be set to “Home”, if the Landing Page URL begins with /cart then the Page Type should be set to “Cart”. How can I achieve this? Any help/guidance would be of great help.
I’m pretty new to Looker and trying to figure out how to create a certain type of dashboard.I have a number of records with the following relevant fields:StartDate EndDateOne of these records is considered “active” during this date range.I’d like to build something in Explore which shows a count of records that were active on the last day of each month, and show the total so we can track how many of these records are active over time.Even better would be to show a count of any records that were “active” at any point in the month, but I can live with the last day calculation.Any suggestions how to tackle something like this? I was thinking I could create a dimension for each month, but that doesn’t seem like a particularly elegant solution.
We have several dashboards using the new NEXT format and options (cross filtering, love!). However, no matter what I do the columns NEVER save their order. I’ve tried:Going to edit mode on the dash, edit mode on the tile, adjusting the column order, saving the tile, saving the dash, and then repeating for all of the tiles Edit mode on dash, arranging column order, saving dash edits, and then repeating Edit mode on dash, arranging column order on all tiles, savingNothing works. I have tried to find other posts and the last one was from a year ago. Is there resolution for this? This is really really frustrating as columns are positioned in specific places for results comparison. Below is what it looks like when edited and then what it looks like when I come back to the dash:With Edits: Edits after navigating away from page:
I have one tile in a Dashboard that is a result of Merged Queries. When I go to edit these queries, I can click on a column’s header and sort it:However, when I save it, the ability to sort it for the users who do not have editing capabilities, is not working:All we see is the gear icon and clicking on the header doesn’t help, the mouse cursor is also set as default. The HTML suggest that the sorting ability should be there:But the console shows us that something is not working as expected:
Avoid installing chromium 92 or later on customer-hosted Looker instances to prevent rendering issues
Chromium is required for scheduling, sending or downloading Looks and dashboards in data formats like PDF or PNG. On Looker-hosted customer instances, the chromium installation is managed by the Looker team. However, customers need to manage the chromium installation themselves on customer-hosted Looker instances. Recently, we have discovered a bug with the latest chromium 92 beta version when rendering Looks or Dashboards to PDF format when the Looks or Dashboards contain any map visualisations. The rendered PDF does not contain the map visualisation present in the Dashboard or the Look and instead contains a blank space in place of the map. In the past, Looker has generally recommended installing the latest version of chromium. However, because of the issue described above, we are now recommending that customers do not install Chromium 92 or later until this issue is resolved. The stable release of chromium 92 is scheduled for July 20th, 2021 as per https://chromiumdash.appspot.com
Hi,Can anyone tell me whether the field widths of the Details drill through are alterable? If not, can anyone tell me what determines the auto-sizing behaviour - are there certain characters that cause line breaks within the cell?(I’m experiencing different behaviours in text-rich columns; some opt for tall skinny others short wide)Thanks in advance,Casey.

Hi,Very new to Looker and still learning! We’re actually still in the process of building out our ML and not to the point of creating dashboards. However, I’m wondering if it is possible to embed a custom image within a KPI, something similar to what you might see on your FitBit app? Thanks for your help!
I have a dashboard which has the total count and date and I want to drill it to a different dashboard . The other dashboard has the same date field as a universal filter. How do i point the date from one dashboard to another. I tried using the html link but since i created a dimension group i couldnt use it there.Should i create a new dimension just for this purpose. Can i use it from the total mesaure ?
Hello Community , Is there a way to show in the visualization /column a filtered dimension on x-axis . i have the following I need to show Connect status something like this : Closest i found is with pivoting the Supplier Status Column ,however it breaks the whole column (Supplier Status) . I tried custom dimeonsion ,measure ,table calculation however no good
After all these versions, what do we have to do to get more control over the legends and axes in Looker? As we move from analyses to “publication ready” charts, Looker’s lack of control has made us have to copy and paste data into a spreadsheet and recreate charts. That’s a waste of all of our time. Please add the ability for a user to change the font size of axis labels, legends, and other textual elements on a chart. BTW, since folks appear to have been asking this for the last 3 years, it’s probably time to just knock it off the list, right? Thanks!
