Question

How to get Single Value to skip null values

I’m trying to get Single Value to display a percentage increase of our lead numbers month over month. I’m filtering both months on month to date measures (1st to the 10th of both months) and created a table calculation to show the increase month over month so far. That table calc shows a null value for last month and the percentage for the current month. Is there anyway for Single Value to bypass the null value and display the percentage?

Hey @smcmullen, just an initial thought, why not sort by the percentage instead? Single Value will default to the first row, so we should set up the calc such that the value shows up in the first row.

Hi @sam, it’s an offset calculation that doesn’t let me sort. If there is an easier way to calculate percent of previous, that might be a solution.

@smcmullen - you’re right; I see now why we couldn’t just sort the other way. However, what if we used offset the other way? It looks like you’re using a negative offset right now, why not change it to a positive one?

That worked! Thanks for your help @sam
