How to add background images in the dashboard

I don’t believe you can add background images to reports - have you ever seen an example of this?

I think it’s fairly clear that there’s no way to do this within Looker’s native dashboards and looks.

Once you get to the point where you’re embedding Looker’s elements in your own site, though, then you can basically do almost anything you want:
