handling files with date in title, not in column

Quick question:

I have a file that is generated daily, daily_file_20210915, daily_file_20210916, etc.  HOWEVER the date in the title IS NOT in the file itself.  Without having to re-write the process that creates this daily file, IS there a way to handle this in Looker?

I have other derived tables where I use FROM statement to pull these types of files together in Looker, BUT they have the date as a column in the file itself.  FROM ‘xxx.xx.daily_file_*’

Without that date field in the file, IS there a way for me to be able to filter on historical dates in a dashboard?
