Filtering agent tenure in order to group by months

Hello everyone, I am fairly new to Looker and I have been tasked with coming up with a way to group employees by the length of time they have worked for our orginization.

Basically I need to make two categories that will allow me to filter agent by tenured and non-tenured based off hire date.

• 0 to 3 months=Non tenured
• 3+ months= Tenured

To do this I need to figure out a way to extract the time worked from the agent hire date till now (today's date) and then categorize the result in months into the two field described above.  Based off the data I have I will need to do this via a custom filter but I am having trouble stringing together the formula to extract and catigorize.

Any help you could provide would be appreciated.
