Question

Dual axes scales tied to each other

Dual axes in Looker appear to be tied to each other, but I don’t think the should be.

See this example. Why would I want the right axis go all the way up to 160%? Is that 160% coming from the max value of the left axis, 1.7?

I want both axes to be pinned to 0. However, I think the left axis should go from 0 to 1.7 and the right axis should go from -8% to 0%.

Hi @tnebesar

There are minimum and maximum values that we can specify for both of the axes, and they can have different values. Here is the documentation on these settings.

On my local instance it looks like this:

Hey Peggy,

Thanks for the response.

I don’t want to specify the min/max as I want them to be dynamic depending on values. My question is why the default max of the right axis in my example is 160%. I think it should be 0%.

Ah ok, thank you for that clarification! I will let our product team know that this is something you’d like to be able to do, @tnebesar!
