Date Chooser within Dashboard

I’m new to looker but not new to dashboarding and visualizing data.

With a lot of dashboard systems you can create a date filter that will let you pick and choose on the visualization - an actual date widget/tile that you can dynamically pick and choose within the actual dashboard rather than creating a dat filter for the overall report or for each tile.

Is there any way to do this in looker or is it simply just using date filters for each tile/dashboard?

If you click Edit on your dashboard then you have an option to set global filters on the left hand side of the Dashboard. There you can create a date filter and choose which tiles are going to be affected by that filter.
