Dashboard: how to define consistent filters (i.e., filters cross-filtering)

Scenario:

• migrating from PBI to Looker and building my first Looker dashboard

Issue:

• Added two filters in my Dashboard Heads, reading from the same source (i.e., same Looker View):
  • Geography.Region: Americas, EMEA, APAC
  • Geography.Country: U.S.A., Canada, Spain, France, etc.
• When users select Region = ‘EMEA’, the Country filter continues to list all the country in the world. Instead, the expectation is for the Region = ‘EMEA selection to cross-filter the other filter. In this example, Geography.Country should show only Country that are within the EMEA selection.

Question:

Any idea how to implement this basic behaviour?
