Comparison across looks on a dashboard

Is anyone familiar with the “compare to” date functionality or the segment comparison functionality in Google Analytics? I’m having a hard time transitioning some of my team’s Google Analytics reports into Looker because it is really difficult to compare things against each other in Looker and understand % differences between multiple metrics. I COULD create individual looks for each potential segment comparison and try to make some calculated fields from that, but even that is not very visually appealing. 

Any ideas? Thanks!
