Add linebreak in Axis labels

I’m wondering how other Looker users format their charts. Specifically, we are trying to add a line break to the axis labels. Tried a few different options to no avail.


Any suggestions?

Thanks Will,


I should have clarified that often times, the subtext (eg, the “note”) comes from the query itself and so I’m adding it via the concat() function in a calculated field.


If I know the value ahead of time, then your suggestion works great. Any suggestions for line breaks within calculated fields?

Thanks Will. Yep, that’s exactly what I meant. So no workarounds at all?

I thought a good workaround would be to add the <BR> linebreak in the html tag, then add the necessary text in the calculations of the final Look.


However, I wasn’t able to reference the html output in the calculation.


Liquid doesn’t work in the calculations does it?

Hey Rick,


This is correct, we currently do not support liquid html in table calcs.
